  • Chore information (titles, descriptions, schedules)
  • Assignment data (completion status, timestamps, history)
  • Team and member relationships
  • Login times and session data

Technical Data

We collect technical information to help us provide and improve our service:

Deletion

You can delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data from our active systems, subject to legal retention requirements. Some information may remain in backups for a limited time.

You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You will continue to receive essential transactional emails (e.g., assignment notifications, account confirmations).

GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Children's Privacy

Chortle is designed for family use, and children may have Member accounts created by their parents or guardians. Managers must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children's use of Chortle.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, please contact us immediately so we can delete the information.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the service. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, except where we must retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your data receives adequate protection.
