Member accounts can be created by Managers for family members of any age. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for their children's use of the service and must supervise minors' access.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods except as required by law.

Chortle and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our service without our express permission.
You retain ownership of the content you create using Chortle (chore titles, descriptions, etc.). You grant us a license to use this content solely to provide and improve the service.
Chortle is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any critical data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chortle and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion features in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to Chortle if:
Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. We may delete your data in accordance with our retention policies.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Your continued use of Chortle after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Chortle will be resolved in the appropriate courts.
